MICHAEL WECHSLER

Michael Wechsler possesses more than 20 years of experience in the Internet and computer technology industry as an intellectual property attorney and successful entrepreneur. In 1992 he founded EastNet, Inc., one of the first and most popular Apple computers-based online communities. In 1994 he founded TheLaw.com, a leading interactive online legal resource dedicated to addressing the needs of the general public. Later he served as in-house counsel and Director of Legal and Business Affairs at iVillage, Inc., a multinational company which was one of the first successful Internet IPOs in Silicon Alley.In 2003, Michael began performing as a legal consultant, providing expert advice with Kroll Ontrack on matters concerning e-discovery and computer forensics. Beginning in 2006, Michael served as Senior Vice President for the IDT, Inc. Internet Mobile Group. At IDT he was primarily responsible for business strategy, development and supervision of all legal matters concerning Zedge, one of the Internet’s largest user generated content communities for mobile devices. Today, he continues to manage The Law Network, LLC, which includes TheLaw.com and several other notable legal websites. Micahel is a Research Scholar at Columbia University.  Michael received a Juris Doctorate from the St. John’s University School of Law and an M.B.A. in Computer Information Systems from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College.  Michael is Of Counsel to the firm.
